How verification works
Verification is optional — plenty of excellent tutors list without it. But if you hold a degree, teaching certificate, or specialist license, the badge puts that fact front and center. The process is a document check, not an interrogation, and usually takes 2–3 business days.

Who can list?
Anyone who tutors — from veteran teachers to university students earning on the side. Tutoring isn't a licensed profession in Israel, and families value different things: credentials, affordability, or simply the right personality for their kid.
What we do promise families: every listing is screened before it goes live. We confirm you're a real person, review your profile for accuracy, and remove anyone who misrepresents themselves.

Tutor FAQ
Do you take a percentage of my lesson fees?+
No. Membership is a flat fee. Lessons are scheduled, taught, and billed directly between you and the family.
Do I need a degree to join?+
No. The Listed plan is open to anyone who tutors, including university students. Verification is an optional upgrade for tutors who hold documented credentials.
What documents count for verification?+
Academic degrees, an Israeli teudat hora'ah or foreign teaching license, and recognized specialist certifications (e.g., Orton-Gillingham, special-education training). If you're unsure whether yours qualifies, ask us before upgrading.
How do payments from families work?+
However you and the family agree: cash, Bit, Paybox, or bank transfer. You invoice them directly — most tutors operate as an osek patur or osek murshe.
What if I don't get any student inquiries?+
New members who receive zero inquiries in their first 3 months get 3 additional months free while we work on your profile with you.
Can I pause my membership over the summer?+
Yes — monthly members can pause up to 2 months per year. Verified members keep their badge through the pause.
I tutor online from abroad. Can I join?+
Yes, if you have experience with Israeli or Anglo curricula. Your profile will show 'Online Only.'
